Elfie is tired of being Santa's slave. Elfie is tired of the endless piles of toys for all the snotty kids that somehow managed to get on Santa's "nice" list. The rules of Santa's Workshop are clear: if you try to escape, you will be captured... dead or... dead.

This game was made for the ScoreSpace Jam #23, where the theme was "Survival" and another requirement was that it needed to feature a leaderboard. The game ended up ranking overall in the 29th place out of the 138 entries, and aesthetic wise ranked in the 15th place. The game can be played in browser here.
The gameplay of Elfie Murderino is to escape Santa's Workhop in the least amount of time and without losing lives. To better convey the feeling of survival the levels are extremely hard and filled with various obstacles, from Nutcrackers and Furbies to various types of candies and deadly lasers.. all of these things are designed to kill Elfie.

The main screen and the highscore screen are designed to resemble the aftermath of an escape attempt. A floor with a broken candy cane, ripped paper, abandoned hat and name tag.
The main character in the game is Elfie, she is a small elf that is determined to escape the Santa's Workshop and the feeling of being a slave. Although her design is simple, it helps to create an atmosphere of a workshop where everyone wears the same uniform.
There are two main enemies that appear in the game, both of them can be used to create an army and are associated with Christmas. The Nutcracker are more assertive and rigid due to their nature, while the furbies have a cute and fluffy appearance but on closer inspection there are little details that make them more menacing, like a candy cane covered in blood.
